Clean & Green Landscape Maintenance was started in Spring of 2003

I (Dave Sester), started as an owner operator while working in another landscape company to gain hands on experience and provide needed income while getting started. I had decided to leave a 10 year career in pupil transportation management to explore the possibility of opening our own family run business.

After several advertising campaigns and a year plus working in the landscape industry, the business started to slowly gain momentum enough that I was able to resign my role as an employee and pursue the business full time. At the time, we resided in the Sandy Palisades neighborhood in Troutdale, OR. We worked to bring friendly and professional service to our Troutdale neighborhood first and gradually expanded to surrounding areas.

Initially, we hired some part-time help during spring and summer. After a couple of years, we hired our first full-time employee. Over the intervening years, we have developed a core team that we rely on to bring exceptional service quality to our customers and friends. Our team is the main reason for our success and we consistently get calls or notes from customers that remind us we are very privileged to have such a reliable and competent work team. We are thankful for our employees’ professionalism and loyalty throughout the years. We do our best to treat our employees well and we recognize that our success depends on their consistency.

We initially operated our business from our home. As our business grew, we started to grow our room, both for equipment for parking. We decided to relocate to a rented space that could be dedicated to our business needs. Our Wood Village location was near ideal and more convenient for our team. We have on occasion looked to relocate again, but so far we have not found something better.

We have continued to gradually grow our customer base in the Gresham Wood Village area. Troutdale, SE Portland and Boring are some of our target service areas as well. We do service into Happy Valley and other area areas but we try to concentrate most of our effort close to Gresham and Wood Village. As our business grows, we are occasionally looking for a new team member. We are kind of picky because we know that they are so important to our continued operations.
